It?s been deemed a ?go-to? event in the past five years, but Friday?s ?I Survived Real Estate 2012? gala by The Norris Group promises to be an exceptional gathering.
And it?s not just because the Oct. 19 black-tie gala is taking place in the prestigious East Room of the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, where White House state dinners are recreated. Or, the fact the Norris Group event benefits charity.
The Norris Group has described this era as one of the most politically driven periods of our lifetime. These days, the industry has been anything but ho-hum.
Falling inventory. Rising prices. Eminent domain for underwater mortgages. Bulk-buying by hedge fund investments. Economist views that California?s housing industry is moving into full recovery mode. The emergence of new-home buyers after a three-year stall; and new twists to foreclosure.
All these topics, and more, are likely to take center stage by this nationally known lineup: Gary Thomas, first vice president, National Association of Realtors; Sara Stephens, of Appraisal Institute; Sean O?Toole, president, Foreclosure Radar; Eric Janszen, president, iTulip, Doug Duncan, chief economist, Fannie Mae, and Debra Still, Mortgage Bankers Association.
Aaron Norris said Monday the charity event has consistently sold out; and always had lively topics. ?This year is exceptional,? he said, adding that his father has been ?researching up a storm.?
While The Norris Group has acquired a ?rep? for exploring cutting-edge topics at the annual event, Aaron Norris said this year?s ?I Survived? is packed with ?juicy? topics and multi-sector views.
It is, in Aaron Norris? view the real estate remake to the TV hit show, ?Big Bang Theory? ? ?so nerdy, so fun.?
So informative.
