Full Description
InterActive Drilling Optimisation Engineers

As part of the expansion of our InterActive Drilling services and to meet future commitments in the UK and overseas, Senergy is currently looking for a number of InterActive Drilling Optimisation engineers. Successful candidates will be expected to rapidly develop core competence in drilling optimisation and geomechanics. It is considered unlikely that anyone with less than 5 years experience in a combination of at least two of the following roles will have sufficient competence to be considered. Mud logging; MWD / LWD; drilling dynamics; drilling optimisation; drill bit applications and well planning.

These will be staff positions, primarily based in Aberdeen and London, but applications from candidates based in the Middle East or the Far East will also be considered for potential positions in UAE and Malaysia. Travel to client offices both in the UK and overseas will be required and potential applicants should be aware that there will be a requirement to work shift patterns whilst working remotely in clients? offices or Real Time Operating Centres.

These positions represent an opportunity to diversify one?s career, with opportunities to move within and across the domain expertise areas that Senergy currently participates in. Senergy is an international energy business providing consultancy services in subsurface, well design and well operations management with established offices in 17 locations across four continents

? Offset Data reviews
? Bit/BHA application analysis
? Proficient use of software tools for hydraulics, torque and drag, etc
? Use of Real Time data for performance optimization of both drilling and ?flat time? operations
? Pore Pressure/Fracture Pressure prediction
? Knowledge Management

Candidate qualifications

? A good degree in either engineering, geology or geophysics
? Whilst specific drilling optimization and/or geomechanics experience would be advantageous; applicants with at least 3 yrs experience in offshore operations including at least 2 of either mud logging, MWD/LWD, production technology, geology, petrophysics, mud engineering, reservoir engineering etc will be considered and training will be provided.
