The College of Idaho went on the road to La Grande, Oregon Friday night and gave top-ranked Eastern Oregon everything they could handle.
The Yotes were leading the Mountaineers by one with 22 seconds left, but Eastern had an answer. Anthony Brown drove the lane and banked one home to take a one-point lead with just seven seconds to go.?
After a timeout, the Yotes inbounded the ball to Eagle High graduate Ben Van Lith, who went the length of the floor and hit the game winner. The Yotes won 83-82.
It marked the first time in school history the Yotes had upset the No. 1 team in the nation.
